I’m a cancer researcher. I’ve spent my career solving difficult problems, and one of them was personal: finding a deodorant I could trust.
I tried every “natural” option I could find. None worked. Some only masked odor for a couple of hours, others irritated my skin or stained my clothes. So I started making my own, using ingredients I knew were safe and backed by science.
After years of experimenting, I created something I’m proud to share: Elemental — a clean, magnesium-powered deodorant that actually works.

Matt
Matt is a National Institute of Health (NIH) Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of New Mexico (UNM) Comprehensive Cancer Center, whose passion for health extends from the cellular intricacies of cancer research to tangible wellness solutions for everyday life. Between fieldwork and time with his daughters, he spent six years perfecting a natural deodorant he's comfortable using around the people who matter most.

With a PhD in Evolutionary Anthropology from UNM, complemented by targeted epigenetic training from Columbia University, statistical genetics expertise from the University of Washington, and a bioinformatics internship at the National Center for Genome Resources (NCGR), his work bridges the cutting edge of cancer research and practical product innovation.

His experience as a cancer researcher drove his quest for a clean deodorant free of harsh chemicals. After trying numerous all-natural deodorants that failed to actually combat body odor — and, worse yet, irritated his skin and stained his clothes — he decided to create something better.
